Waidmannsheil from Dortmund! Two new hunting grounds in the K&K portfolio

At K&K Premium Jagd, we are constantly on the move to find new hunting opportunities for you. Today, we would like to introduce two new additions to our portfolio: the alpine high-mountain hunting ground of Lechtal in Tyrol and the historic Schloss Duttenstein wildlife park in Baden-Württemberg. One location demands peak physical fitness and endurance, while the other stands for elegant driven hunts in a stately setting—both possess their own unique appeal.

1. Lechtal Hunting Ground: Alpine Tradition in Tyrol

The Tyrolean Lechtal is one of the most pristine alpine valleys in Austria. It has been managed by the same family since 1931, guided by a philosophy of sustainability that has grown over generations.

The hunting ground at a glance:

• Area: approximately 5,000 hectares

• Elevation: 870 to 2,100 meters, from the valley floor to high alpine terrain

• Landscape: rock faces, alpine meadows, and mountain forests composed of spruce, fir, beech, sycamore maple, and Swiss stone pine

• Game populations: red deer, chamois, roe deer, and marmots

A note for anyone interested in chamois hunting: all chamois tags for the current season are already fully booked. If you would like to secure a spot for the upcoming season, please contact us well in advance. Still available and a true highlight is the stalk for mature red stags during the rut, from mid-September to early October.

Guests are accommodated at the Pension Kreuzeck or the Naturparkhotel Florence in Weißenbach am Lech—both proven local partner establishments.

2. Schloss Duttenstein: Hunting in a Historic Wildlife Park

Schloss Duttenstein in Dischingen offers a completely different kind of hunting experience. Nestled deep in the forest, away from the public eye, chatelaine Ursula Merckle and her team welcome hunting guests with a level of hospitality that is rare to find.

The hunting ground itself is a 500-hectare, historic wildlife park embedded in the Grießbuckel landscape, which was formed by the meteorite impact in the Nördlinger Ries. Ancient oak forests, some over 300 years old, shape the backdrop for hunting fallow deer, mouflon, and wild boar.

Our offers in Duttenstein:

• Premium Driven Hunt, November 21, 2026: a multi-hour, organized drive followed by the traditional laying out of the bag (Streckelegen) and a barbecue catering service provided by the "Wilder Wirt" at the Gaudeamus hut.

• Individual Hunt for Mouflon Rams, January 2027: stalking or high-seat hunting for trophy Class I rams, guided by the castle's hunting management.

• High-Seat Hunting Weekend for Groups (4–7 hunters): two nights in a double room including full board, as well as four high-seat outings for fallow prickets and antlerless fallow deer.

After the hunt, the day winds down with excellent food in the Jägerstüble (hunter's lounge) or inside the castle itself.
