A country with a wealth of near-pristine landscapes.
Zambia as a hunting destiantion
Wonderful, soft morning light, impressive sunsets, a cozy gathering around the evening campfire, starlit nights under the Southern Cross - these are just a few of the triggers for the well-known "African fever" (Bazillus Africanus). Hunting in Zambia is unique thanks to the fascinating wildlife with its incredible biodiversity in breathtaking landscapes.
Zambia, with its capital Lusaka, is a landlocked country in the northern part of southern Africa, covering an area of 752,614 square kilometers. Its name is derived from the Zambezi River. It borders Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. Most of the country consists of high plateaus at elevations between 1,000 and 1,400 meters. The highest point in the country is the Mafinga Hills at 2,339 meters. Due to these high altitudes, a mild tropical climate with moderate temperatures prevails. During the dry season, daytime temperatures range between 15 and 27°C, while nighttime temperatures drop to as low as 4.5°C. In the rainy season between December and April, temperatures can reach up to 38°C. Zambia is a presidential democracy. The president and the parliament are elected every 5 years. The official language is English, and various tribal dialects are also spoken. Zambia is an extraordinarily diverse and scenic country with a multitude of virtually untouched areas. You can be sure of a warm welcome as a hunter.
