Das Jagdgebiet
Over the past few years, we have visited the region on several occasions and—following a number of test hunts—have selected what we consider to be the finest hunting grounds. These are situated near the renowned city of Bloemfontein in central South Africa. We invite you to read our brochure carefully; we are confident that these hunting opportunities will capture your interest.
Die Jagd
All wild pigeon species may be hunted year-round, although the prime hunting season runs from February 1st to April 15th. For all pigeon species, there are absolutely no bag limits. For all other species of game birds, a maximum of 10 birds may be harvested per hunter per day; this is mandated by South African law. The recommended hunting season for these birds is from May 1st to August 31st.
Camouflage clothing is essential for all game bird hunts. We have compiled a comprehensive equipment guide that we would be happy to send you upon booking. Specifically between February and April (with daytime temperatures ranging from 18°C to 36°C), you will need lightweight clothing (long-sleeved shirts and trousers, plus sunscreen—the sun is not to be trifled with during this time of year). Occasional rain does occur, so a lightweight rain cape is also recommended. Between May and September, the days become cooler (daytime temperatures range from 0°C to 18°C), and we recommend wearing warm clothing. Rain is not to be expected during this period.
Ihre Unterkunft
Accommodation is arranged according to the guest's preferences, group size, time of travel, and the specific game species to be hunted. Should you have any requests regarding specific beverages, please inform us well in advance; the organizer will then procure the requested items. The elegant main lodge features a total of seven rooms: five rooms are furnished with one double bed and two single beds each, while two rooms contain double beds. Located near the main lodge is a well-appointed annex comprising three rooms: two rooms feature a double bed and two single beds, while one room contains a double bed. A third lodge—situated at a slight distance from the two mentioned above—offers two rooms: one room contains a double bed and two bunk beds, while the other room is also furnished with two bunk beds.
