Hunting method/hunting season

Roebucks may be hunted in Poland from 11 May. Many hunters prefer spring hunting when vegetation is still low and hunting pressure has been very low for several months. But you also have the best chances at the rut, especially if you understand how to handle the rutting call.

You will hunt stalking with a 1:1 guided tour by local roe deer experts who are very familiar with land and game. Due to the size of the hunting area, more and more vehicles are used to hunt even the remotest corners.

In short, you need the same equipment for this hunt as for roe deer hunting in your local hunting grounds. All deer-suited calibres can be used, such as calibres from .243 Winchester up to. 30-06. Furthermore, you need well-worn footwear and weather- and windresistant, low-noise clothing. Good binoculars and, if necessary, a shooting stick complete the equipment.

During your stay you will live in well developed hunting lodges or guest houses in the hunting district. The accommodations are clean and tidy.  Polish cuisine enjoys a very good reputation and you will find that it is quite justified. It's not uncommon for hunters to return with a few more pounds on their hips after a week of hunting.
