Roebuck Ritterg. Hirschbach

At the hunting area Rittergut Hirschbach, there is a stock of roe deer that is unparalleled in terms of both quantity and quality. It is a private area of more than 600 hectares, in which forest and game are equally handled. It is located about 18 km south of Dresden at the B170 state road. The terrain has a low mountain range character with altitudes between 380 m and 470 m above sea level.
95% of the area is wood area, the remaining part field and meadow. 70% of the forest area is made of softwood (spruce, larch, pine with Douglas fir afforestation), the remaining part of hardwood in different age groups. The entire area is surrounded by a field corridor. Although the wolf occurs in northeastern Saxony, there are no wolf proofs for this area yet (the Elbe and motorways act as a border). 

We put together groups of 3 to maximum 6 hunters for this hunt. Enjoy a few days in this magnificent area. You will be satisfied. 

Informations about European roe deer (Capreolus capreolus capreolus)

European roe deer is the most widespread and most common hoofed game in Europe. Depending on the region, weights of up to 30 kg can be achieved. It is a very territory-loyal forest and field inhabitant. In summer, the bucks mostly stand alone, the does stand together with fawns. In the winter time roe deer join together in small herds.

The bucks occupy their territories in March/April and defended them against competitors until the end of the rut in August. Roe deer is primarily active in the early morning and evening hours. The sense of smell is pronounced, the eyes are not the best but roe deer can notice faster motions.
